  • "For the Fortune"

When people do things for fame, their desire for fortune is not far behind.  It is part of experiencing popular culture and achieving “success”.  A...
  • Find Piece

Sometimes I think about throwing it all away, the whole closet. I mean not all of it. Keep the staples. And some backups. You know what I mean. I...
  • Don't Forget to Breathe

Our inner peace is always inside of us, but we have to harness it and deliberately cultivate it. We have to make time to be mindful. We have to take time to think about things that make us happy and grateful for our lives or else negative thoughts can and will enter our minds.
  • "For the Fame"

The attention that being popular within the culture brings can be addictive.  More people desire to obtain outside approval to help increase their own self-worth, while others want to gain influence to create trends and shift narratives within the culture.  I’ve also seen “sneaker influencers “ help push certain shoe brands to help increase sales.  Overall, it’s these type of efforts that have made these people more popular within the culture. • It’s All Good but is Everything Cool?

Yeah, everything is cool. Maybe it’s Instagram offering a “how-to” for every fashion lane or the sheer competition in the marketplace due to an increase in opportunity, but in general, everything is cool. Early 2000s? Dunks? Jeans with flare (an impossible thought 5 years ago)? Check.

  • "For the Love"

Fame and fortune have become common currency that people look to obtain. Those things can always come to people who invest the time. It is becoming clearer who is doing it for the love and who is doing it for other reasons.
  • "Quick Hits"

We're in kind of a weird place with pants - post-jogger, post-skinny, not-90s-baggy, workwear without the work, and elastic in the waists of dress pants. I keep the zippers on the outside as inside ankle zippers are sure to get your day out-of -whack. Trust the science.
  • Minding Your Mental

We have to honestly assess ourselves and be aware of how we respond to any challenges that life throws our way. We can’t allow our circumstances to control how we react because if we give away that power we are one step away from losing control, losing ourselves and potentially losing our sanity.
  • "For The Culture"

What does it mean to do something for the ‘culture’? My definition is someone performing an act to gain perceived value by others who share common interests. Often, people want more credibility or validation. For others, they have been so influenced that they are following along to keep up with the in-crowd.
  • "Quick Hits"

Social media and online commerce platforms have eliminated many previous barriers to entry for new brands. With a flood of new products releasing every week from brands both old and new, I’ve highlighted some of the new stand-out brands of the last few months.
  • Creating Coping Mechanisms

We all have stress from time to time. It is essential to establish coping mechanisms that are healthy and allow us to stay proactive when dealing with stress and our problems. Self-evaluation and reflection are the first steps to alleviate stress in our lives.
