WDRFA x CMBD Release I
WDRFA x CMBD presents a modern collection of work wear garments designed with everyday use in mind. For our first collaboration with Charles Miller Brand Denim we created cut and sew chore jackets, caps and t-shirts.
Release I: Rose Canvas Chore Jacket, Denim Inspired 6 Panel and White WDRFA x CMBD Collaboration Tee.
The following photographs were taken by Cliff Canon at the Society of Salvage Storage Facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The industrial look of the building helps put in perspective that the garments are a modern approach to an everyday working persons work uniform. Chore jackets became popular in the late 19th century and used for "chores", typically meaning hard labor and work that would require a durable outer garment to protect you. Just as they did in those early times we used an Heavy Weight 8.5 oz Canvas Twill on our Rose Canvas Chore Jacket material that is perfect for the Fall. To make our jacket more modern we added subtle details (pictured below) like contrasting stitching, hidden brass buttons, over sized two-entry front pockets, two chest pockets and pocket tag with an inner selvage denim pocket and leather embossed branded tag - the jacket is also a bit longer than your standard waist level. The Denim Inspired 6 Panel is described in the name, we used a lightweight twill color similar to denim to signify the everyday hardwork pants, denim. Details on the cap include contrasting eyelets, adjustable leather strap with a brass closure with a tag on the outside and inside. We created the 100% Cotton WDRFA x CMBD Collaboration Tee with verbiage of that inspires and brings our brands together.
